GPS System For Kenwood Mobile TX-X180
- GPS receivers can be external or internal
- External has GPS receiver and Antenna all in one
- The connection to the radio is via 25D connector
- Internal GPS the receiver is mounted inside the radio and patch antenna wire is taken out for external antenna
- Advantage /disadvantage External if cable is damaged the complete unit has to be replaced
- Internal one if the antenna cable is damaged only new antenna is required
- For base radio use COM 1 port and in FPU enable map header KW1($PKLDS)
Requires Microsoft MapPoint Software 2004/6 (Not Included).
