Propagation Predictor

We are now licensed operators of ATDI HerTZ Mapper Software. As such we can now offer a Bureau Facility to both our End Users and Dealer customers. The program has full European contour information and clutter data within its database and all we need to know in order to provide you with an accurate coverage map is either Ordinance Survey NGR reference or Latitude and Longitude taken from GPS. The system will plot single and multi-site systems.

For us to carry our a Prediction Plot you will need to specify to us Base Station Power and frequencies, Antenna height and type including any RA requirement on specified patterns such as cardiod etc., also advise us of any specific antenna down-tilt requirements. We will then need to know if you require plots to portable or mobile radios and the associated antenna and power characteristics of these types of unit. Most importantly please tell us what area you want the finished map to cover as there is no point producing a county wide plot when you are only interested in detailed coverage of one town.

The coverage map illustrated here shows portable radio coverage for Chesterfield Borough Council from a 5 Watt ERP Base Station located at their own premises at Brimington (The cross between the E and S in CHESTERFIELD). This system operates in the 220 MHz Band and the Base antenna is a 3 dBd gain colinear at 12 metres above ground. In this case there is no down-tilt on the antenna. The green area depicts strong radio coverage in excess of -88 dBm and the blue is weaker but still workable coverage between -94 dBm and the -89 dBm transition threshold. White indicates no predicted coverage, in this case specified at worse than - 94dBm.

If you would like us to prove this system for you, send us the details of one of your known sites. We will then produce you a sample plot which will convince you that this system really works and saves you days of effort and wasted fuel carrying out on-air surveys.
