Zycomm's two way radio maintenance service includes Walkie Talkie equipment configuration, installation and repairs, all carried out by our experienced team.

Workshop

At our Headquarters in Ripley, Derbyshire, we have newly refurbished workshops, where our teams of specialist engineer carry out the configuration, installation, repair and maintenance of Two Way Radio equipment. Our engineers are all qualified to recognised standards as well as attending manufacturers training courses on a regular basis.

Repairs and Service

Our on-site specialist workshops are fully equipped with the latest test equipment to enable fast and accurate fault finding. Repairs are carried out to component level, using the latest state of the art surface mount component rework stations.

Only genuine manufacturer spares are used to enable reliability and large stocks of these are held to enable fast turnaround times.

As well as electronic, aesthetic repairs are also carried out to give your radio an “as new” look should it be required. Repairs can be carried out on an estimate or fixed price basis.

Zycomm is proud to be an authorised service centre for both Hytera and Kenwood, however we can repair most manufacturers products. We are also able to offer a comprehensive range of preventative and reactive maintenance services.

Maintenance Contracts

A full range of maintenance contracts and services are available to ensure that your equipment meets the manufacturer's specification, ensuring ongoing reliable communications. These maintenance contracts can be tailored to each customer's requirements and can vary from an annual check at our workshops for portable equipment to regular site visits and testing of base station infrastructure. Handportable radio maintenance contracts can be provided which include replacement batteries at regular intervals.

Response times are available from normal working hours to 24 hour a day, 365 days a year.

Equipment Configuration and Programming

Modern radio equipment (especially digital radio) is feature rich and we carry out its configuration to exacting standards. We understand each customers needs are different so we take great care to ensure that equipment is configured exactly as per each individual customer’s specifications. This is achieved by giving the customer a good understanding of the available functions, then carefully configuring the equipment to their specification.

Bespoke Solutions

We realise that not every solution is available “off the shelf” but with our in house design team we are able to offer bespoke systems to fit your individual requirements. We ensure that we understand exactly what it is that you need from your communications and recommend a solution around that. We will visit your site in order to understand your business as much as we can.

Installations

Base Station and Repeater Installations

Two way radio base station and repeater installations are carried out by our specialist team who are all trained to a high standard and work within the FCS guidelines. Health and safety is of great importance and all staff have regular working at height training as well as holding IPAF certifications for operating mobile access equipment.

Mobile Radios in Vehicles Installation

Our mobile radio installation team are conscientious and take pride in the quality of their work. All work is carried out within the guidelines of FCS1362:2010 (UK code of practice for the installation of mobile radio and related ancillary equipment in land based vehicles). Great attention is paid to ensure the installation is as inconspicuous as possible with all wiring concealed whenever possible. We can install at our headoffice or onsite at your premises.

Mast and Tower Work

A team of four engineers are qualified to TTS2U (Tower Climbing, Rescue and RF Awareness) and are available to carry out installation, inspection and repair work of antennas, feeders and base station infrastructure within the guidelines of FCS 1331 (Code of Practice for Business Radio Site Engineering: 2013).

After Sales Support and Warranty

We believe that our after sales support is second to none. Once you have received your equipment or your equipment has been installed, we don’t just see this as the end.

We provide telephone support where our helpful team are always on hand should you have any queries or initial problems with using your equipment or alternatively, you can find instant answers using our FAQ section.

Warranty repairs are carried out in our workshops with a fast turnaround, to ensure that your equipment is back with you as soon as possible.

Training

Zycomm is committed to ensure that you get the best out of your equipment; therefore training is available for both simple and complex systems. Training is customised to suit each customer’s requirements and covers all aspects in the operation of your equipment and any associated applications.

Training for systems can be carried out at customer premises, or our training facility at Ripley.

Consultancy

At Zycomm, some of our team have been with us from day one – so it goes without saying that we really do know what we are talking about when it comes to two way radios.

With our wealth of industry and product knowledge we can also undertake consultancy work, whether it is a simple coverage survey or a comprehensive unbiased report on an existing system. We believe our experience within the communications industry is what enables us to provide our customers with an honest and reliable consultancy service.

Spares

Spares are available for all major manufacturers products, with large stocks held for Hytera and Kenwood. If any item is not in stock it can be obtained. So give us a call we are more than happy to source it.
