Two-Way Radios and the Environment

To celebrate World Earth Day we look at how Zycomm look after the environment when radios reach the end of their life.

As a leading supplier of Two-Way Radio, we see a lot of units come and go from our headquarters in Ripley, Derbyshire. Inevitably all Two-Way Radios ultimately have a shelf life and Zycomm have a responsibility to ensure that those radios that have come to the end of their life are disposed of in a manner that is both safe and environmentally friendly.

Service Manager Adam Prokopiw comments: “Sometimes we see radios that simply are past their best. Predominantly the part of a radio that fails (and can be easily replaced) is the battery. We ensure that batteries that disposed of in the correct manner which essentially has to be an environmentally sound one which means not being sent to landfill”

Most modern Two-Way Radios will run smoothly for years with proper maintenance and regular service. Our team of talented Engineers are trained to repair most radios and replace any faulty parts with new ones including batteries.

Zycomm are committed to the needs of its customers and that of the Environment.
