Recently, Hytera released two new digital mobile radios that are brilliant for users within commercial industries. Both devices are incredibly easy to use and are fantastic as a first step from analogue to digital.
As mentioned above, the MD615 and MD625 are designed and aimed towards commercial users specifically for installation into vehicles that are used for logistics, transportation or agriculture. However, these two new devices can also be installed as a desktop device allowing them to be used in moving and stationary environments.
Due to the brilliant Hytera digital technology that is incorporated into the devices, the MD615 and MD625 have clear audio quality in addition to both possessing digital and analogue functions that can work together, enabling mixed vehicle fleets to communicate with one another.
Both the MD615 and MD625 are powerful devices capable of transmitting up to 45W (UHF), weighing 1,100g and only 164 x 43 x 150 mm in size. In addition to their dimensions, the DMRs are also dust-resistant and waterproof as well as tough enough to handle vibrations and shock; ready for anything.
The MD615 and MD625 also come with an emergency button feature, an internal speaker, Bluetooth connectivity and can also support numerous wireless audio accessories allowing users to communicate hands free and drive safely.
You may be wondering, ‘both devices so far seem very similar, what is the difference?’ The MD615 device holds 5 programmable buttons and allows for a channel capacity of 48, with a two digit LED display, whereas the MD625 only has 3 programmable buttons and supports data capabilities such as ‘Call alias’, ‘Contact List’, and ‘Call History’. As the MD625 has a 1.5 inch LCD display, it allows for text messaging, and has a bigger channel capacity supporting 256 channels over 16 zones.
